*The World Health Organisation recommends that children and youth aged 5–17 should accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity daily.*
Children are encouraged to be as active as possible at lunch time. We use the motto ‘Do your talking as you’re walking’ to encourage children to be on the move at all times during break time.
Initiatives such as Workout Wednesday and Free Dance Friday have been a great success (see Workout Wednesday and Free Dance Friday posts for more details and pictures)
Boys and girls in 5th and 6th class participate in yard leagues at big lunch each day.
