Book Week 2011
Current
BOOK WEEK 2011 in the school was very successful and enjoyable. the whole school took part in many and varied activities.
- Every child took part in one of the various art competitions - all on a theme based on books
- Parents visited the school and read stories to different classes - Thank you Jean Connolly, Mary Richardson, Maeve and Caroline Montgomery and Mary Lou Grennan.
- At a set time every day the whole school took part in USSR uninterrupted sustained silent reading
- Middle and Senior classes enjoyed two very successful Quizzes
- Infants, first and second dressed up in their favourite Book Characters - that was some parade!!
- Our Parents' council organised a very successful Book Fair - proceeds from the fair will enable us to increase our store of books in the library
