Presentation to Concern and St. Vincent de Paul

On Tuesday January 31st Ruth Craig from Concern and Dominic Smyth from St. Vincent de Paul were presented with the money raised by 4th, 5th and 6th class children. On December 13th these children participated in a sponsored children's fast .Recently retired teacher Mrs. Mary O'Brien who had coordinated this event over the past years returned to present the €800 cheque to Concern and the €300 cheque to SVP. Members of the student's council presented the presentation cheques as can be seen in the photos. Ruth and Dominic both expressed their gratitiude to the children and the wider community and explained to the children the practical way in which these contributions help people. Well done to all who particiapted!
