Arts Education: Music arts

Arts Educationn: Music provides children with opportunities to engage with a wide range of musical styles and traditionsto become involved in moving, dancing, illustrating, story telling and making drama. The Music Curriculum introduces reading and writing, to song singing and to playing classroom instruments.

Music Curriculum
The music curriculum has three strands:

• Listening and Responding
• Performing
• Composing

The strands are interrelated and activity in one is dependent upon and supportive of understanding in another
