Blackrock School

After many weeks of rehearsal and preparations our two second classes were finally ready for their Nativity presentation. On Wednesday 14th Dec they gave their first presentation to our guests from The Birches (The Alzheimers Day Care Centre). This was very much appreciated and enjoyed by all. On Thursday 15th Dec two more presentations were held - one for the whole school and one for their families and friends. All presentations received excellent praise. Ms. Edel Duffy's after school violin class opened the show with a selection of Christmas carols. This was followed by Mrs. Dennedy's fourth class performing choral verse and then Mr. Morahan's fifth class performing two recitations one of which was as Gaeilge. There followed a special presentation by the children to two teachers, Mrs. Mary O'Brien and Mrs. Margaret Watters,who are retiring in the very near future. We wish these two dedicated and committed teachers the very best of good health and good luck in the years ahead. Mrs. Stanley's choir wrapped the show up by providing us with delightful and fitting music for the festive season.
