🎃 A Heartfelt Thank You to All Who Participated! 🎃
What an incredible day we had at our school for the “Trick or Treat” Fundraiser in support of Children’s Health Ireland, and we’re thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful school community, we raised an amazing €1000 to support sick children in the hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly!
We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to every parent, guardian, teacher, and pupil who made this event such a spooktacular success. Your kindness and enthusiasm truly brought this fundraiser to life, and the funds raised will make a real difference in the lives of young patients who need care, treatment, and support.
A Fun-Filled Day!
The countdown to our Halloween event started with a ‘Trick or Treat’ twist, and it was clear from the start that our school community was ready to get involved! With pupils bringing in their donation and donning their most creative Halloween costumes, we set the stage for a day of fun and fundraising.
The excitement kicked off the day before, with our spooky competitions that had everyone buzzing:
- Colouring competition for Junior and Senior Infants, and First and Second Classes – the artwork was so colourful and creative, it was hard to pick just one winner in each class! 🌈🖍️
- Mask-making competition for Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Classes – there were some incredible designs, from witches and wizards to zombies and superheroes! 🎭✂️
These contests not only got everyone’s creative juices flowing, but they also set the tone for the following day’s activities, which were just as fun-filled!
On the day of the fundraiser, our pupils were treated to:
- A Halloween Parade for Preschool, Junior Infants, and Senior Infants – with the best costumes in each class receiving prizes! The parade was filled with adorable witches, ghosts, pumpkins, and even a few surprise monsters! 🎉🏆
- Movie Time in the school hall – each class gathered to enjoy a Halloween-themed movie with a yummy popcorn snack and a bag of jellies (because no Halloween is complete without the treats!). 🍿🍬
- Thank you to our wonderful Parents’ Association for their help on the day
It was a joy to see our school buzzing with excitement and creativity, all while raising money for such a worthy cause. Your support truly made this event one to remember!
A Special Thank You to Our Board of Management
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Principal, Mrs. Dempsey and our Board of Management for their generous sponsorship of the prizes for the best costume in each class. Each lucky winner received a Barróg Bunny.
Barróg (meaning “hug” in Irish) is more than just a cute cuddly toy. All proceeds from the purchase of Barróg Bunnies go directly to supporting the families of sick children who are staying at The Ronald McDonald House, located on the grounds of CHI Crumlin. It’s a wonderful way to bring comfort and care to families in need, and we’re proud to be part of such a meaningful initiative.
Thank You Again!
We want to give a massive thank you to everyone who contributed—whether you made a donation, helped with organising, or simply joined in the fun. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact, and we couldn’t have done it without your generosity and support. We’re so proud of what we’ve accomplished together!
