Our Senior Quiz team will attend the All ireland Credit Union Quiz finals in the RDS on April 8th.
On January 10th 1899,Blackrock NS opened its doors with 2 teachers each in the Boys and Girls school. Today, St. Oliver Plunkett NS is a 21 teacher school in the beautiful and scenic seaside village of Blackrock. We are a Digital School of Distinction and are very proud of our heritage.

Jersey Day February 9th 2018

Thank you Mrs. Farrell and the Student council and Green School committee who are promoting Global citizenship to help make our world a better place.
Our Green School committee are very busy organising a Global Citizenship Day for March 16th. Already 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 6th are busy preparing projects based on the Global goals. More later.
We are very excited on achieving our Active School Flag and the committee are busy organising the launch of that flag. Thank you Ms. Matthews and her committee.

2017 Concern Fast Presentation Joanne Arnold from Concern was presented with a cheque on March 22nd from the Concern Fast in which 4th 5th and 6th participated in December . Junior Entrepreneur Programme Killian Walsh (www.grandson.ie) visited 6th class as part of the JEP programme. Thank you Killian for your help, tips and motivation. Defibrillator Thank you to the Parents'Council for the new defibrillator now in our school. Thank you also for the very valuable training in First Aid and Defibrillator training facilitated by Joan Mc Adam, Catherine and Aileen. Below is a picture of some of the group who participated. 2016
Eve Mc Crystal wonderful local olympian visited our school and inspired all with her hard work, commitment and dedication to her sport.
